Regular readers of this blog will know that Dr. Bustillo is a highly skilled, trained, and experienced facial plastic surgeon. He performs over 300 nasal surgeries a year, always taking care to create the perfect nose that suits and harmonizes with each individual patient’s features. They’ll also know he has been practicing for over 10 years from his Coral Gables office just south of Miami.
Specialization and Experience
He’s one of a select few double board certified facial plastic surgeons. Because he is a facial specialist, he does not perform surgery on any area of the body other than the face. Over 50 percent of his practice is dedicated to rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty. The rest is devoted to other types of facial rejuvenation surgery, including the deep plane facelift in South Florida.
This specialization and experience has allowed him to get results for patients ranging in facial shapes, features, and skin types. By continuing to build his experience and keep up on the latest advancements Dr. Bustillo has built his reputation as someone who produces natural, long-lasting results. Twenty percent of his patients are doctors and their families.
An International Reputation and International Experience
Approximately 25 percent of his patients come from outside the United States. You can watch Dr. Bustillo on the Danish TV news program “21 Sondag” and Spanish-language Telemundo’s “Al Rojo Vivo” discussing rhinoplasty and his pioneering use of Google Glass during the procedure.
It is the application of skillful technique with advanced, cutting-edge technology that enables Dr. Bustillo to have some of the highest patient satisfaction ratings in the field of facial cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Bustillo also regularly travels internationally to provide care for those less fortunate. As part of his work with the Face to Face Foundation he recently traveled to Vietnam. Watch the experience through his eyes with the help of his Google Glass. He has also traveled to Kenya, with the World Medical Mission to repair cleft lip and palate defects in children. And he travels yearly to Guatemala, with the Emmaus Medical Mission to repair the same defects in children there.
