What is the average age of your facelift patients? Do you think 40 is on the young side to be considering facelift?
Answer:
The average age of the patients that undergo a facelift with me is probably close to 55-57 years of age. However, I think that in terms of facelifts, the patient should think about having it done earlier. Of course, this depends on the individual aging of each person. Many patients come to me in their 60’s and I tell them that the result is just not going to be as good as if you were 50 or 55. As far as 40, I think that is probably on the young side, but everyone ages differently. I have in the past performed facelifts on patients in their early 40’s. Some of them showed severe aging and others had lost a large amount of weight.
