Introduction
A very large number of patients travel to have surgery with Dr. Bustillo. Dr. Bustillo is very gentle during surgery so that his patients suffer from minimal swelling and bruising. Most patients that travel to have their surgery with Dr. Bustillo are able to return home the following week.
Dr. Bustillo’s expertise allows a rapid recovery, which in turn allows out of town patients to confidently schedule surgery and plan their return home in a predictable fashion.
Our office will help with patients with everything they need, from arranging hotel accommodations to providing nursing care if needed. Certainly, we try to make the experience as easy as possible.
Fly in for Surgery
Dr. Bustillo understands that is inconvenient and expensive for patients to fly in just to consult with him and then fly back a second time again several weeks later to have surgery with him. For this reason, Dr. Bustillo has a system that allows you to facilitate your experience with us. Here is how it works:

The first thing we would like you to do is to call or email our office so that we can email you our new patient information forms. You can also download them.
Complete the Forms
Complete our new patient information sheet and return them to our mail. (The paperwork can also be mailed to our office with your do-it-yourself pre-operative photos – see below).
Send Us Your Pictures
If you are out of town and considering a surgical procedure, please provide photos with a frontal, profile, and base view shown in the examples below. Photos should be on a white background and in the same pose as the before and after pictures. The format of the images should be JPEG
Dr. Bustillo will need your pictures. Please send us a front picture, and two profile pictures (right and left), Please provide us with clear, and recent close-up e photos. Photos should clearly show your area of concern and can be emailed or sent via regular mail.

Schedule Your Procedure
Jessica, our patient care coordinator, will contact you after the consultation to discuss scheduling. She will go over costs, accommodations, and length of stay. Once you have decided to proceed with the surgery, a surgery scheduling fee is required. Final payment is due 3 weeks prior to the surgery.
Recover and Return Home
For patients undergoing a rhinoplasty or blepharoplasty, he will see you the day after surgery and on the fifth day after surgery. You may fly out on the sixth day after surgery.
For patients undergoing a necklift, he will see you on the day after surgery and then on the seventh day after surgery. You may fly out on the seventh day after surgery.
For patients undergoing a facelift, he will see you on the day after surgery, the fifth day after surgery, and on the tenth day after surgery. You may fly out on the tenth day after surgery.
In the event that you require any medical attention after returning home we will refer you to a local physician for a check-up. Your health and safety remain our number one priority.

You MUST arrive one to two days prior to your surgery date. At a designated time during this period, you will meet and consult with Dr. Bustillo BEFORE the surgery. If you have any questions please call or e-mail our office.
