Kybella is an FDA- approved injectable that is used to reduce the amount of fat in the neck and chin. Kybella is the only injectable treatment available for neck contouring and offers patients great results with less discomfort and downtime than surgical options.
The injections are done in the office and over several weeks help to lessen the fat in the neck and improve the contour. In patients with heavy necks, the treatment may have to be repeated over several months to obtain optimal results.
In consultation, Dr. Bustillo will determine if you are a good candidate. The ideal candidate is one with neck and chin fullness related to excess fat. The ideal candidate must also have good skin elasticity, so that when the fat is dissolved, the skin can retract and tighten giving the patient an improved neck and jawline. If the patient does not have good skin elasticity, then a surgical option can be discussed.
The treatment is done in the office and takes about 15 minutes. The neck is marked with a grid that indicates where the injections will be placed. After, an icepack is placed to cool the skin and limit swelling. There is a variable amount of mild swelling that takes about 7 days to resolve. The final result takes about 2 months or so. Patients with excessive fat may need multiple procedures to achieve the desired result. The results are permanent.
I was referred to Dr. Bustillo by a co-worker, who's wife had excellent results with Dr. Bustillo. My consult was scheduled promptly and included consideration of a rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty and chin injections with Kybella. I'm a 46 year old professional, athletic, male and was simply looking to improve my appearance.
I'm very organized and demand perfection in my practice of law. So to exceed my expectations, which are already set high, is hard to do. Dr. Bustillo did it. I don't generally write reviews, but I felt here, where the decision is so important and so personal, it is good to have knowledge of what others feel about their experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Bustillo.
